About Linda

Mi chiamo Linda, I was born and raised in Brescia (Lombardy) which is between Milan and Venice, not far from the well known Lake Garda.
I’ve been teaching Italian since I started visiting Los Angeles over ten years ago. I have an MA in foreign languages and my favorite part of teaching is sharing my love of the Italian Culture and Language with those interested in exploring Italy and learning the Italian Language.
For many of my students traveling to Italy is more enjoyable because they are now able to communicate and engage with the Italian people they meet.
When I work with students, I try to understand how they learn and adapt the lessons to their individual learning style. My background in music and singing allows me to teach through songs and rhythms. This is another great way to learn this musical language with ease. Our lessons are structured around opportunities to speak Italian so that every student feels confident about their ability to speak and understand the language.
To accommodate students with varying availability, I offer a mix of in-person, online, one-on-one, small group lessons and hands-on situational learning opportunities.
Recently I’ve begun facilitating group conversational practice sessions and group cooking classes with multiple students providing the opportunity to speak and listen to Italian. These classes are a fun and relaxing social environment that all my students enjoy.
I am also available to provide dialect coaching for voiceover actors.

Services
As a foreign language specialist, I offer private or group, In person or Online tutoring and conversation sessions tailored to student's specific needs.
Lessons include: grammar and vocabulary, spelling and pronunciation, reading and conversation, cultural notes, course material to purchase (if needed), songs, audio and tailored homework. In addition, I also offer dialect coaching.
Online One-on-One Lessons:
1h is $90- package of 10 online lessons is $800 through Skype, Facetime, GotoMeeting
In-person one-on-one lesson:
1h is $100 (depending on distance) - package of 10 in person lessons is $900
In my in-person classes I meet my students in cafe’, restaurants or libraries. It’s easier and more fun to learn a language sipping a cup of coffee or eating a slice of pizza than learning from a text book or through computer programs only .
Lessons of the package need to be used in 12 weeks. Payment in advance, I accept cash, check, Zelle or Venmo. Cancellation Policy: 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson
Group Lessons
Basic- Intermediate- Advanced Italian
Participants: 4 students
Cost: $ 375 each
Length per lesson: 1.5h
Total weeks: 10
Remote classes are through Skype, Facetime, GoToMeeting
Classes are fun, social and even a more affordable alternative to private classes.
A Beginner Winter Session will begin in mid-January, 2026 and run through mid-March (10 weekly lessons.) The course will be online (via Facetime). For a full list of my group classes and enrollment, contact me by filling out the form.
